Motorola joined the Android 10 bandwagon, as it turns out it does not inspire much confidence. Although the OEM has made Android 10 available for a set of its devices, there are others like Moto Z3 Play and G8 Plus still awaiting the OS.

What’s more interesting is that the Lenovo owned brand slated April as the month when the Moto Z3 Play will be served with the update alongside the Motorola Moto G8 Plus, but that did not happen.

The stated reason behind this was that the Android 10 update for both Moto Z3 Play and Moto G8 Plus is “pending for partner approval.” We are not sure what this statement means and this statement has been previously used for other Moto devices as well.

And it seems like the wait is not going to get over anytime soon for the Android 10 hopefuls on Moto Z3 Play, as Motorola has now pushed the May 2020 security patchset based on Android 9 Pie for the device.

As per the user reports, the update has been seeded with the version number PPWS29.131-27-1-25. The update is purely incremental in nature and just bumps the security patch level to May 2020.

Here is what the official changelog reads:

What’s new:
– Android Security: Includes security corrections for the Android, May 2020

may security update moto z3 play

Well, although the update brings the May security update, Moto Z3 Play users who were expecting Android 10 on their devices, are not at all happy with Motorola.

And you are hopeful that  @Moto will release Android 10 for the Z3 and Z3 play, bitch please, that will never happen Motorola the worst company to update software fuc……. Motorola

We also expect Motorola as a company should also come forward and keep its users clear of all doubts regarding updates as that is one of the most important tasks if any OEM want’s to survive in the smartphone industry, today.

Merely stating “pending partner approval” does not help the case. We hope Motorola takes a cue from such situations and improves in that front. In the meantime, stay tuned to PiunikaWeb for more Motorola and other tech-related stories.
