A lot of smartphone users might not be able to recognize iQOO as a smartphone brand. Well, it is a sub-brand of Vivo, the Chinese giant, which is more popular for its advertisement hoardings, in India, than it’s smartphones.

Anyways, we all at least know that Vivo is not a name to reckon with when it comes to timely updating its devices with regular security or firmware updates. The current COVID-19 situation across the globe has also not been favorable for smartphone companies.

The fact of the matter is, other brands are slowly getting into their groove and are back to work. And it seems like Vivo has also started from where it left off. Because, as per new reports, Vivo is planning to upgrade its iQOO phones with Android 10 somewhere around mid-June.

Notably, all the iQOO phones do not run on the FuntouchOS of Vivo and instead, they feature the iQOO UI.  As per an official post on Weibo, the company has stated that the developers and team, worked day and night to bring out this Android 10 (iQOO UI) update roadmap for the Vivo iQOO, iQOO Pro and iQOO Neo.

Cool guys, after Android 10 fully adapts to iQOO generation, iQOO Neo, iQOO Pro, iQOO Neo 855 series, team colleagues worked overtime and worked out the iQOO UI adaptation plan.

In mid-June, we will fully adapt the iQOO UI.

Thank you for your support and love!

Considering the fact that Xiaomi is already prepping up for the release of its next iteration of MIUI, i.e. the MIUI 12 in 3 days from now, other Chinese OEMs like Vivo and Oppo are still not yet done with their Android 10 updates.

But, at least the users of iQOO, iQOO Pro, and iQOO Neo, now have an Android 10 (iQOO UI) update plan and an exact month on which they can expect the update to arrive on their phones. We will keep an eye out for any further developments in this regard.
