Realme U1 & Realme 1 March update fixes VoWiFi registration in 2G/3G issue, Realme 6 gets April patch (Download link inside)

Despite the global crisis that is the Corona Virus Pandemic, many phone-makers haven’t exactly slowed down in rolling out updates to many of their devices. This is a very impressive sight to see, seeing as many sectors have been adversely hit.

Realme has been rather steadfast in pushing out updates to its devices. We have seen the Chinese phone maker push out security patches and updates to enable VoWiFi on many of its devices in the past couple of weeks.

Sticking with the same pace, Realme is today pushing out monthly security updates to even more of its devices. Some of these updates are merely monthly security patches while others are bugfixes that come with the new security patch level.

First up are the Realme U1 and the Realme 1. Both devices are getting updated to the March Android security patch level. However, for the Indian model, this update brings a rather important bugfix. While both devices received updates to enable VoWiFi, users have had an issue where they could not register for VoWiFi on 2G or 3G.

According to the changelog, which is identical for both of these devices, this issue is fixed in this update. Below is the common changelog for both Realme U1 and Realme 1.

      Changelog:
      Security:
      ● Android security patch: March, 2020
      Network:
      ● Fixed the issue that VoWiFi unable to registered in 2G / 3G network (IN only)
