After serving its flagship models with the One UI 2.0 (Android 10) update, Samsung has turned its attention in upgrading its mid-range devices.

Lately, a bunch of Galaxy A-series devices, i.e. the Galaxy A7 (2018), Galaxy A6 (2018), Galaxy A8s, Galaxy A80, Galaxy A70, Galaxy A70s, Galaxy A30, and Galaxy A50s, have grabbed the One UI 2.0 update.

Samsung Galaxy A50 is also expected to get the update soon. And now as per a recent user shared info on Telegram, the Galaxy A40 has got the One UI 2.0 (Android 10) update.

This information comes from an Italian user on the Vodafone network. Moreover, other users of the Galaxy A40 have also confirmed the reception of the Android 10 update on their devices on the Vodafone network.

Taking a look at the screenshot shared by the user, the update is arriving with the version number BTB8/BTB7 and weighs in around a hefty 1.69 GB in size. Moreover, the update also bumps the security patch level to the latest March 2020 for the Exynos 7904 powered smartphone.

Readers should note that the One UI 2.0 (Android 10) update brings in tons of new features for the devices like the system-wide dark mode, new navigation gestures, Digital Wellbeing with parental controls, new UI elements, and much more.

Matter of fact, in line with this, recently one of the users of Galaxy A40 also shared an HTML file stating that the update is available.

Note that the update is currently seeding for the users in Italy, and it is expected to arrive in other regions soon. You can check for the update notification by heading over to Settings > Software update.

Launched back in 2019, the Galaxy A40 has 4 GB of RAM, a 5.9-inch display, a mediocre 3,100 mAh battery and offers up to 64 GB of onboard storage. In the camera department, it has a dual-camera setup with 16 MP primary shooter and a 25 MP selfie camera.
