[Rolling out] Samsung Galaxy A30 Android 10 update delayed further, Galaxy S9 One UI 2.0 OTA should arrive in February
New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….
Original story (published on January 27, 2020) follows:
Korean smartphone giant Samsung has been making quite a few headlines right from the start of this year. The show started with all the leaks and rumors surrounding the (now-launched) Galaxy S10 Lite and Note 10 Lite devices.
Samsung also made headlines regarding the new foldable Galaxy Z Flip which is going to be unveiled in the coming Unpacked event on February 11, 2020, along with the Galaxy S20 series.
However, one thing that has kept the OEM pretty occupied for the past couple of months, is the OneUI 2.0 (Android 10) update. There are quite a bunch of devices still awaiting the Android 10 update.
And in a recent development, Samsung has altered the One UI 2.0 (Android 10) update roadmap which is a new one for the Indian users.
The new update schedule was shared on the Samsung Members platform. In fact, taking a look at the schedule, prominent changes that could be spotted is that the Android 10 update for the Galaxy S9/S9+, Galaxy A30 and A50 is now delayed.
Now, the Galaxy S9 series will get the update in February instead of January while the Galaxy A30 will now be upgraded to Android 10 in March.
Notably, we have reported that Samsung was testing the Android 10 update for Galaxy A30 back in December 2019. And by the looks of it, users might have to wait a bit longer to experience OneUI 2.0 on their device.
Moreover, the Galaxy A50 which was expected to get the Android 10 update ahead of its schedule, will now get updated in April 2020.
However, the Galaxy S10 series, Note 10 series, and Galaxy Note 9 have been updated to OneUI 2.0 (Android 10) before the slated date and it will be interesting to see if Samsung could come up with faster delivery of updates for other devices as well.
We will keep you in the loop until we have more information in this regard.
