The Redmi Note 8 Pro was scheduled to receive MIUI 11 update somewhere in December, but the company threw in a surprise by rolling out the update early this month, with more regions still receiving it to date.

Although the device runs Android 9 Pie out of the box and we all knew its eligible for Android 10, Xiaomi was never going to bundle the new OS in the Redmi Note 8 Pro’s MIUI 11 update.

Instead, the same base OS was retained, but it won’t last long, at least going by the latest developments in China. As of this writing, those using the Chinese variant of begonia can finally switch to Android 10 via the latest MIUI 11 beta update.

Xiaomi closed its global beta testing program a while back, but it still lives on in China. The company releases weekly updates to the beta channel and the latest is arriving as MIUI 11 9.11.21, which is the version that brings Redmi Note 8 Pro Android 10 update.

From the screengrab above, we can pick out that besides Android 10, the Redmi Note 8 Pros update to MIUI 11 beta 9.11.21 also improves the security patch level to the latest for the month of November.

Below is a summary of the changelog, although you can always bump into more stuff while playing around with the new software.
