OnePlus has established itself as one of the most value-for-money brands in the smartphone market. The Chinese smartphone manufacturer gained popularity from its first device i.e. the OnePlus One itself.

Cut to now, according to a report by Counterpoint Research, OnePlus leads the premium smartphone segment in India with a 35% market share in Q3 2019.

Thanks to the brilliant performance in the market by its 2019’s releases, the OnePlus 7 series and later the OnePlus 7T series. Moreover, when it comes to pushing in timely security and other updates, OnePlus is among the likes of Google and Nokia.

Besides, the company is among the few OEMs that pushed the latest Android 10 update along with Google and Essential. And in a recent development, OnePlus has pushed in the latest November 2019 security patchset with the Open Beta 6 for the OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro.

Notably, recently the OnePlus 7/7 Pro got the Open Beta 5 that tagged along some privacy features for the devices. On the other hand, the stable channel of OnePlus 7/7 Pro were served recently with the October 2019 security patch.

The Open Beta 6 for the OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro is reportedly rolling out but there is still no official announcement for the same. Let us take a look at the beta updates received on the devices one by one.

OnePlus 7

According to users on the OnePlus official community platform, the Open Beta 6 is hitting the devices. It weighs around 194 MB in size and brings in quite a few changes for the device.

For instance, new tweaks under the Zen Mode, OnePlus Care (India Specific), changes in the animation and the latest November security update. Below is the full changelog along with the screenshot of the update prompt:

– Fixed the visibility of the fingerprint icon
– Fixed the issue with the interruption of Music in the ambient display
– Improved the animation effect of fingerprint icon
– Updated Android security patch to 2019.11
– Improved system stability and general bug fixes

– Added the “Disable” option in the app info section

OnePlus 7 Pro is also getting the un-announced Open Beta 6 update via OTA that weighs in about 2.1 GB in size. The update shares the same changelog as the OnePlus 7’s Open Beta 6 mentioned above and brings in November 2019 security patchset for the device.
