Last month Xiaomi announced its MIUI 11 update roadmap that placed the Redmi Note 7 and Pocophone F1 (aka Poco F1) in the first batch of devices to receive the software update.

The first units were supposed to pick up the MIUI 11 update between October 22 and the end of the same month and indeed, both the Pocophone F1 and Redmi Note 7 managed to get the update in the slated window.

Unfortunately, though, not every single market where the two devices are sold was able to receive the MIUI 11 update when it first went live three weeks ago.

During this time, folks using the Redmi Note 7 in Europe and Pocophone F1 in Russia have had to make do with MIUI 10 while their counterparts in India and other regions enjoyed the goodness of MIUI 11. But this ends today, finally.

Reports coming from Russia can confirm that the Pocophone F1 is finally receiving its MIUI 11 update. Arriving as MIUI 11.0.1.0.PEJRUXM, this is the update that finally bumps the base OS of the Russian Poco from Android Oreo to Android 9 Pie, a step closer to the latest Android 10.

Across the rest of Europe, the Redmi Note 7 is receiving its MIUI 11 stable update as well. As noted earlier, the first Redmi Note 7 units to get the update did so three weeks ago, but the update never reached the European models of the device, at least until today.

The software is arriving as MIUI 11.0.4.0.PFGEUXM and weighs in at 808MB, the typical size of an MIUI 11 stable update that has no changes to the base OS.

Tech has been my playground for over a decade. While the Android journey began early, it truly took flight with the revolutionary Lollipop update. Since then, it's been a parade of Android devices (with a sprinkle of iOS), culminating in a mostly happy marriage with Google's smart home ecosystem. Expect insightful articles and explorations of the ever-evolving world of Android and Google products coupled with occasional rants on the Nest smart home ecosystem.
