Apex Legends Season 3 kicked off on October 1 and with it came in the new Battle Pass bug we talked about in this article earlier. The new Season didn’t only come in with just new content but with new bugs too.

To give you a brief review of what happened, on the day of release of the new Season, players were quick to notice that even when the Battle Pass level increased after the match end, the XP wasn’t reflected in the Battle Pass and as a result players weren’t able to rank up.

Apex Legends: Devs finally respond to the Battle Pass bug

Until now, there was no response to the issue by the devs. While the dev community for Apex Legends is quite vocal, they didn’t reply to the issue. But on October 4, the devs added the issue to the dev tracker trello board. The bug was silently added to the “General Bugs” on the board.

The bug is described as – “The Match summary page will show incorrect total amount of battle pass XP”. The devs also marked the bug as a client issue and will be releasing the patch in the next update. A similar issue is also on trello board including the challenges not tracking. While the players may be furious about those XP which are lost until the patch comes out, fret not, the XP is added and you will get the XP and the rewards once it’s patched. Season 3 was a large and major patch which included a whole new weapon, map and a new rifle. Also, combined with the new balance patches and the bug fixes, the update was a huge one and thus seeing such issues and bugs crop up is not surprising.

Such big updates may sometime have some isolated issues like Apex Season 3 had, and it’s totally normal and give devs the time to fix it. Progress of players is not lost which should give the motivation to play the game to rank up in the Battle Pass.

Players will have to sit tight until the next patch comes in which will should fix these issues. But on the brighter side, your progress is being tracked and saved, so meanwhile you just have to play and complete the missions and gain the XP needed to rank up the Battle Pass.
