Apex Legends is soon to enter its Season 3. As the release date (October 01) is approaching, we are getting more and more of Crypto’s lore and teasers about Season 3. Now we have an image with a message from Crypto to someone named Mystik whom he refers to as his mother.

The Stories from the Outlands for Crypto had earlier shown how he was framed by the Syndicate and the Season 2 trailer saw Crypto destroying the Repulsor Tower which essentially brought Leviathans in the Kings Canyon. The whole arena was destroyed, but Crypto was no longer to be seen, until he appeared in Singh Labs trying to hack something.

Players have been speculating for a while that Crypto wants to portal away the dropship to a new place where we will have a new map. The speculation of new map maybe true but it seems, Crypto will be hitching a ride on the dropship which Syndicate already has set for New Dawn where Crypto hopes of finding new evidence.

As for Crypto’s message to Mystik, at first, it seems to be about a normal date night, but then it glitches to reveal a message which gives a totally different meaning to it. As we all know from Crypto’s earlier teaser he’s dedicated to take the Syndicate down and destroy them for framing him.

In the teaser we were shown how Crypto changed his appearance and decided to enter Apex games. Crypto’s teaser was uploaded by Apex Legends’ official Twitter handle. You can take a look at the GIF here –

The GIF glitches to reveal the real message and our friends at reddit have the real message decoded for us. The real message is given below (credits to Reddit user stdstd) –

As I’m sure you’ve heard, I took your advice and I went to the Games. It’s the only way to get close to the people who framed me. All I had to do was distract the Syndicate long enough to get “Crypto’s” credentials into the system. You were right about the qualifying matches. I looked into it, and there’s no way I could have gotten in. So I went with Plan B: I took down the Repulsor tower. I had no idea it would be so insane. I’m hoping the damage was enough to close Kings Canyon, so I can hitch a ride on the dropship off Solace, and find the evidence I need somewhere in New Dawn.
I just hope I see you one last time, and I don’t get blown up before I go off-planet. (Sorry. Paranoia leads to gallows humor.) Thank you for always being the mom I needed. I’ll be in touch. Try not to worry much. What’s that you always say? It’s hard to be scared when you’re prepared.

The message clearly says how Crypto went with his Plan A of destroying the Apex Games by destroying the repulsor tower. Now, he’s expecting the Syndicate to close Apex Games and King’s Canyon while he hitches his ride to New Dawn.

This clearly hints that we will be finally moving on from the first Apex Legends map in Season 3. What’s your interpretation of the message? Feel free to let us know in the comments section below.
