Xiaomi revolutionized the way OEMs price their budget devices. Starting from Mi 1, they have never shifted their focus from offering the best specs-to-price ratio. Obviously, it made other manufacturers follow the same path as well.

Every now and then, vulnerabilities arise in Android platform, and Google publicizes them each month. And as an end-user, it is mandatory to keep them at bay. That’s why the companies release monthly security updates over the air.

Although not the fastest in the market, like other OEMs, Xiaomi also delivers monthly OTAs to their devices. Today itself, we spotted them pushing a second update in the same month to Mi A3. Apart from that, Mi Play and Redmi Note 7 (global version) have also received the August patch.

As we are about to step into September, they have untied security overhauls for Mi 8, Mi Mix 2S, and Mi 9 SE. At this moment, the updates are hitting the devices running on Chinese ROM only.

Mi 8’s update with the build number 10.3.6.0.PEACNXM brings nothing much to the plate other than increasing system stability and the security patch of August 2019. In case you are interested in manual flashing, you can use this link to download the zip file.

A user commented on the official forum that even the 10.3.5.0 update didn’t reach the global ROM. Yeah, the company hasn’t gone global with those yet. So, you’ll have to wait until they bring them.

Among the trio, Mi 9 SE is the one which bagged a feature-rich package. Carrying the build number V10.3.5.0.PDGCNXM, it introduces a customizable lock screen clock and a panorama option for the front camera. You can read the changelog below (click here to get the zip file).
