Pokemon Go is one of the most successful games for Niantic. The game has a huge community base, but credit for the game’s popularity & success goes to Niantic. They provided regular in-game events to players & Pokemon Go fans which kept them lured to the game.

Two days back, Niantic started rolling out Pokemon Go update 0.149.0. The latest update has brought some exciting and new features to the game.

However, it is usually a user choice, whether they install an update for an app or not. But sometimes companies force an update to make sure everyone is using the latest version of their app or game.

A similar move has been made by Niantic, as it seems like they are forcing the latest update of Pokemon Go to all the users who have not yet updated the game. Players who are not updating the game to the latest version, are unable to play the game.

Many reports have started proliferating on Reddit forum regarding the forced updates for both android & iOS users.

Have a look at some screenshots from the forum over this matter.
