Samsung Pay issue with Galaxy S9/S9+ fixed

Just a few hours back, we highlighted Samsung Pay’s incompatibility issues with Galaxy S9 and S9+ units. And, what’s now coming to light is the company has quickly fixed whatever was causing the entire mess.

So where did we get the confirmation from?

Well, multiple users on Reddit and Twitter broke the news saying a recent update for Samsung Pay has fixed the glitch for them. There’s reportedly a new patch button in the app that fixes the issue.

If you were like me and getting errors when trying to setup Samsung Pay on your Galaxy S9 or S9+ there is a new patch available in the Galaxy App Store. Note that just pressing the install patch button on the Samsung Pay app will make your phone freak out and go in to a frenzy of alerts. I can verify it fixed my issue.

I got an update for Samsung Pay earlier today and it fixed the issue for me

This is fixed, btw. Took an uninstall tonight, and a reinstall from the Galaxy store…. But it's working now!

A quick and smooth fix, just as we expected, although we’re yet to receive an official word from Samsung on this. Happy to say that Galaxy S9/S9+ users can now enjoy the company’s own mobile payments service without any hiccups.
