While the device is quite new, users have already started noticing a software issue with it.

As per a recent report from the ZenTalk Community, the scheduled power saving feature on the ZenFone 8 is not working properly.

An affected user has said that the power saving mode starts as expected but does not end as per schedule.

The user has further mentioned that the said issue is present on the firmware version RKQ1.201022.002.30.11.51.44.

Also, the said issue was not present on the previous firmware version and the scheduled power saving feature used to work properly.

It is unclear what the exact cause of this issue is but it seems that the same problem is also affecting users of the ZenFone 5Z.

A ZenFone 5Z user has said that they have reported the about issue multiple times along with device logs.

However, there has been no response from the OEM on the matter so far. Now, a ZenTalk moderator has acknowledged the issue.

The moderator has said that Asus is aware of this issue and it will get fixed. However, no ETA has been provided in the acknowledgement.

While it is unclear how long it will take to fix the said issue, affected users can try to offset the power saving schedule by one hour to fix the problem for the time being.

That said, we will keep tracking this for further development and will report back with more info when it becomes available.
