YouTube TV is a popular live TV streaming service that offers access to more than 85 channels, on-demand content, and a cloud DVR. The platform also has tie-ups with regional sports networks to better cater to the needs of fans.
For instance, it has an agreement with SportsNet New York that allows them to provide live broadcasts of local matches in the New York region.
However, recently SNY made an announcement and stated that YouTube TV is soon going to drop the channel and their exclusive live Mets games.
In addition to this, you’ll also not get coverage of Jets and all of New York’s professional and collegiate sports teams.

And by looking at the reports (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10), it appears that this news has not been well received by sports enthusiasts.
Some are disappointed as they have already purchased an NFL Sunday Ticket through YouTube TV for $350, considering it to be a beneficial deal for them.
And now they are regretting their decision since they will no longer be able to stream their favorite Mets, Jets, and NFL games on the same platform.
Users even say that it has become difficult for them to choose between YouTube TV and other streaming services.
One of those affected says that there is no benefit of subscribing to the premium membership if one is a fan of New York State pro sports teams other than the NFL.
Another user adds that they have submitted their feedback, expressing displeasure. They are also planning to suspend their subscription if SNY gets dropped.
I’m only a casual Mets/baseball fan so I’m not irate about it, but I don’t doubt this will hurt for a lot of people. I suppose they couldn’t agree on a renewal and didn’t want to raise rates again, at least not so soon…
