YouTube is a popular video sharing and live streaming platform. Users can access the service from virtually any device that has a screen and internet access.

YouTube users can enjoy content through the website or apps. While the website is accessible from any browser, the YouTube app is available on mobile devices, Smart TVs, TV boxes/dongles and more.

However, sometimes users run into issues that prevent them from enjoying the platform. Currently, there is a ‘This video is unavailable on this device’ error that YouTube users are getting on some videos.

YouTube ‘This video is unavailable on this device’ error message

According to multiple reports, ‘This video is unavailable on this device’ error message appears randomly when trying to load some YouTube videos or live streams (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9).

@TeamYouTube hey, every time I finish a live stream and use the YouTube editor to trim and clip out parts, the video becomes “unavailable on device” until it’s done processing. This just started happening yesterday. Can you guys undo the new code please

Could appear first when trying to edit a video before uploading

Apparently, the problem appears first to YouTube video creators once they try to edit a video or live stream just before starting the upload process.

No, it’s that it’s uneditable. That is normal. It’s that WHILE it is editing/processing the video says “unavailable on this device” across all platforms. It doesn’t let people watch the video even though it’s public. It’s a recent glitch that just started for me yesterday.
