Like other platforms including Spotify and Apple Music, YouTube also has a Rewind feature at the end of the year. But YouTube might allegedly stop the year-end ‘Rewind’ video compilations.

Moreover, YouTube Music also does a Recap, but it turned out to be quite a disappointment when the Recap 2022 stopped working for several users.

Talking about recaps and Wrapped, YouTube Rewind 2016 created quite a buzz by compiling the year’s most viral videos. It brought over 200 viral stars, bloggers, and celebrities together.

However, it has come to the notice of some YouTube users that the 2016 Rewind video bizarrely shows pre-VFX edit notes.

It is quite apparent to a small but significant section of users that YouTube 2016 Rewind video has seemingly been replaced by an unfinished video. It rather shows broken visual effects and poor color grading.

While it has left users confused as to why someone would ever change a 6-year-old video, others are just busy having a laugh in the video’s comment section.

Granted that the video got accidentally replaced, it appears that those notes only show up in certain cases.

No official word in sight

Since the issue is limited to a small section of users, it is possible that YouTube isn’t aware of it.

We hope that the team takes immediate cognizance of the glitch and replaces the video at the earliest.
