If you have bought a brand-new Pixel phone in the UK this holiday season or planning to get one in the future, then here’s crucial information that you should be aware of. The new inflation rates will come into effect from January 2024 in the country. As a result, several broadband and mobile service providers in the UK will be implementing price hikes on smartphones (including Google Pixel phones) in April 2024.

These increases might surge up to 3.9% on top of the announced inflation figures and will affect customers who’ve purchased Pixel devices on contract. According to recent data, this inflation will surge the phone bill by £9.50 a month.

Price for Google Pixel phones purchased on contract will increase in the UK next year

This information has already been communicated to those who recently purchased a new smartphone via the terms and conditions section. And since it was there in the terms of the contract, users now won’t be able to cancel their order for free.

This price change will impact the bills of Pixel phone users starting April 2024. The major broadband providers that are planning to increase their prices in the UK include EE, Three, Vodafone, O2, Virgin Mobile, Tesco Mobile, Talk Mobile, and BT.

However, not all hope is lost. Some network providers won’t subject their customers to these price changes despite the inflationary pressures. If you’ve purchased a Pixel from the following network providers, you may be spared from these anticipated price increases:

  • VOXI by Vodafone
  • Lebara
  • GiffGaff
  • Lyca Mobile
  • Asda Mobile

That said, you can target the aforementioned network providers to get a new Pixel phone at a lower price. However, you’ll have to pay extra if you’ve purchased a new phone from those providers that will increase the price.
