New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published on July 29, 2020) follows:

The Redmi Note 7 was unveiled back in February 2019 and the device stayed true to its roots. It packed the very best mid-range specs and passed on the savings to the users through the pricetag.

The device which is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 came with Android 9 Pie out of the box with Xiaomi’s own MIUI 11 on top. The device is slated to get updated to both Android 10 and MIUI 12.

We have already seen the Redmi Note 7 bag Android 10 in various markets. The Chinese, Indian and even the Global variants of this device have already been updated to Android 10 but still based on MIUI 11 that it launched with.

Today, Android 10 is rolling out to yet another regional variant, the European version of the Redmi Note 7. A few days ago, we got word that this update was right around the corner and today, we finally have it.

The changelog for this update is as slim as the one we have seen with the other Note 7 Android 10 rollouts;

Changelog:
System

– Stable MIUI based on Android 10

As mentioned in the changelog, this update brings with it the July 2020 security patch. It remains unclear why this European model did not get this build of Android with its other regional variants but I guess better late than never, right? If you’d like to install this build on your device, here’s the download link.
