Xiaomi has seen a lot of gain over the past few months, even edging out Samsung as the world’s biggest smartphone vendor.
Clearly, Xiaomi took Huawei’s woes a little more seriously and as such, it has gotten the kind of attention it deserves. But Xiaomi has always been doing a few things right.
One area where Xiaomi has been doing well is when it comes to communicating with its customers. Bugs and issues have traditionally been well addressed and fixed promptly, at least for the most part.
In line with this, Xiaomi releases regular bug reports, a summary of the most pressing bugs and issues faced by users, and the current state of the said issues.
In the 52nd volume of the MIUI Weekly Bug Report, Xiaomi goes on to outline a number of issues afflicting Redmi Note 8 Pro users and their current status. You might also want to check out our dedicated Xiaomi MIUI 12.5 bugs and issues tracker for more.
One of the issues outlined in this bug report is that of the media sound getting louder and lower for users running MIUI V12.5.1.0.RGGMIXM, V12.5.2.0.RGGEUXM, and V12.5.2.0.RGGIDXM.
On this matter, Xiaomi says that it has contacted affected users for the audio dump and MTK logs to help the company in the investigation.
Another issue has to do with the users not being able to connect t Wi-Fi on their Redmi Note 8 Pro units running V12.5.1.0.RGGMIXM, V12.5.2.0.RGGEUXM, V12.5.1.0.RGGRUXM, and V12.5.2.0.RGGIDXM.
On this, the company says:
The country code BD corresponding to Bangladesh on Android R has been moved to the country control of country14, and it is 3 on Android Q. These two correspond to different band configurations. Group 3 on Android Q does not impose restrictions on 5G bands, all bands can be used, Group 14 on Android R has made a lot of restrictions on the 5G band, only band4 is allowed. Therefore, many 5G bands cannot be scanned. Currently, we need to wait for people in the BD area to report on regulations.

On the boot loop issue where users of the Redmi Note 9 Pro, Redmi Note 9S, and Redmi Note 9 Pro Max on MIUI V12.0.2.0.RJWMIXM, V12.0.5.0.RJWINXM, V12.0.1.0.RJXINXM reported getting stuck in Mi logo screen and not being able to turn on the device, Xiaomi says it has pushed an update and many affected users reported that the problem was fixed after the upgrade.
In line with its mother company’s practices, Poco has also been issuing regular bug reports and in the 12th Volume, the new brand goes to talk about the Frame drop and Ghost screen issues that have been afflicting its Poco X3 Pro users.
On these bugs, Poco points out that it is still currently testing a few tweaks with users in the grayscale channel and observing the feedback.
