Xiaomi’s Mi A-series phones are some of the most unfortunate phones that are either not able to get the bug-free Android 10 update or the devices are completely ruled out of the cards to receive the Android 10 updates.

Take Xiaomi Mi A1 for example. The Mi A1 came out in 2017 with Android 7.1.2 Nougat and although its chances of getting Android 10 updates were minimal, being an Android One powered smartphone, users were expecting the update.

The hopes were derailed, as the OEM itself, officially confirmed that no Android 10 update is in the pipeline for the Xiaomi Mi A1 smartphone.

A petition was launched by Xiaomi Mi A1 users, which was also signed by thousands of users, seeking a last update in the form of Android 10 update for the device from the OEM. However, the efforts went in vain as the device is officially not eligible for Android 10.

And as officially, Android 10 was not coming for the Xiaomi Mi A1, the custom ROMs were the only options for the users to enjoy Android 10 on their devices.

Fortunately, for those who were waiting for official custom ROMs, there is some good news as Pixel Experience ROM and DerpFest OS ROM is now officially supported for the Xiaomi Mi A1 units.

To give you an overview, the Pixel Experience, and Derpfest ROM are two different, yet similar kind of custom ROM, the idea behind which is pretty simple, providing almost stock Pixel-like experience to the supported devices.

Pixel Experience ROM is a pretty popular custom ROM among Android users, thanks to the continuous update and support by its developers, while the DerpFest ROM provides the users with weekly updates and latest security patches.

For those who wish to flash the Pixel Experience ROM on their Mi A1, can grab the ROM file from below:

And if you want to flash the DerFest custom ROM based on Android 10, then click the link below:

However, users of the Mi A1 should make sure that the bootloader is unlocked and you should also backup all the data on your phone before going ahead with flashing either of the custom ROMs.

With this, three popular custom ROMs are now available for the users of the Mi A1 for experiencing the Android 10 on their phones, not to forget LineageOS 17.1 as well.
