XDefiant open beta crashing & freezing for many players

Developed by Ubisoft San Francisco and published by Ubisoft, XDefiant is a first person shooter video game available on PlayStation, Xbox, and Windows.

The game was launched on February 16, 2023 and it is currently available in open beta. However, players who are trying to play the game are reporting crashing and freezing issues with it.

Several gamers reported that the game crashes at launch, while some say that they are getting kicked out mid-game where it freezes and force closes.

Here are some reports for reference:

i started playing the open beta today i didn’t have any issues but then after the game came down i keep getting kicked out mid game where it just freezes and forces closes (pc) is anyone having the same issue now after the game went down? (Source)

Immediately after the game crashes, players get a pop-up window where it asks them to send crash report to Ubisoft.

Unfortunately, Ubisoft hasn’t yet acknowledged the problem. But we hope that they will fix it soon since many players are unable to access the game.

Also, we haven’t come across any potential workaround that can temporarily resolve this issue. Hence, gamers have to wait until devs come up with a definitive fix.
