Ubisoft is one of the best known companies in the video game industry. In fact, they even have a service similar to ‘Game Pass‘ called Ubisoft+.

Unlike Game Pass, Ubisoft+ was only accessible on PC. However, that changed recently with the arrival of the service on Xbox, although with some setbacks such as offering fewer games than on PC.

Also, multiple Xbox players are currently unable to link their Xbox accounts with the Ubisoft+ service.

Xbox players unable to link their accounts with Ubisoft+ (‘error getting account details’)

According to recent reports, Xbox players are experiencing issues when trying to link their Xbox and Ubisoft+ accounts. This means that those affected do not have access to the Ubisoft+ catalog on their consoles.

When people impacted by the issue try to link both platforms, all they get is ‘There was an error getting account details. Try again later’ message.

Anyone having issues connecting..? Anyone having issues linking their Ubisoft+ to their Xbox? I’ve had the two accounts linked for years and now it is saying “there was an error getting account details. Try again later” I’ve tried on the Xbox itself and my browser.

@UbisoftSupport Ubisoft+ on Xbox is not working. When I link my account it says “There was an error getting account details.” My Ubisoft has been linked to my Xbox account for almost 2 years. I confirmed on my desktop browser that it is linked.

There are even some cases where users managed to link both accounts (or already had them linked for a long time), but the console does not detect the active Ubisoft+ subscription.

Fortunately, the Ubisoft team is already aware of the issue and investigating. In the meantime, they recommended players to just keep trying until maybe they can pull it off on insistence.

Thank you for getting in touch with us. We are aware players are seeing errors linking accounts through the website, and this is under investigation at the moment. In the meantime we’d advise continuing to attempt to link your accounts there.
