World War 3 weapon loadout not saving or getting reset bug acknowledged, fix in the works

Developed by Farm 51 and published by MY. GAMES., World War 3 is one of the popular tactical FPS video games released in 2018.

The game consists of several real-world locations where players have various choices to play with such as weapons, vehicles, gadgets, and drones.

However, there are also several issues that come by in the middle of the game to interrupt the gamers. Likewise, World War 3 players have also reported issues in the past such as poor audio quality and players unable to join matches.

And now, another issue has popped in which is bothering several World War 3 players. As per reports (1, 2, 3), some gamers say that the weapon load is not saving or it is getting reset.

Here are some reports for reference:

me and my friends play now since almost a week and have a lot of fun in it but we wonder when we are able to customize our guns, currently we can only use the default weapon loadouts, we unlocked already a lot of attachments for the guns but can’t use any of them. will it come in a close future update? There is a loadout bug, that resets your loadout to a previous version. Some people suggest either making changes then logging out and back in and others suggest renaming the loadout to force the changes to be saved. I had mild success with a mix of both.

It is a very annoying bug, for me as well, but I’m very sure that the devs are aware. On the WW3 Discord the cbt-feedback and bug-report channel are flooded with reports of said issue (Source)

WW3 gamers say that they can use the default weapon load-outs without any issue. But, when they unlock new weapons and try to use them, it gives them an incorrect loadout.

This is because the new loadout setup that the players create in the game is not saving or getting partially saved. Hence, players are not getting the exact loadout that they need.

This is making the game unplayable and frustrating since gamers are unable to use all those weapons that they unlock.

Issue gets acknowledged, fix in the works

On the brighter side, World War 3 support team has acknowledged the issue and said that they are currently working to resolve it. However, no ETA for a fix has been provided.

Meanwhile, one of those affected users has provided a workaround to this issue that you can try until devs fix it and see if it helps.

Once you are done customizing your load out rename it and save it. This got rid of the bug for me. (Source)
