World War 3 'Fetching data' or infinite loading error after update acknowledged, fix in the works

World War 3 was launched in 2018 as one of the most interesting alternatives in the multiplayer tactical FPS game segment. It is only available for Windows devices in a free-to-play format.

The game is set in a world where the conflict of World War 3 exploded. Its developers inspired the gameplay mechanics, weapons, items and war procedures in real life.

However, a World War 3 issue is not allowing players to enter any matches due to a ‘Fetching data’ error message that causes an eternal loading screen.

A recent update to World War 3 could be responsible for the ‘Fetching data’ error message that many players are reporting (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11).

Hi, after the Update it’s impossibile for me start a match.
When I’m in the lobby it’s all ok, but when the game starts and load the map it crashes with “INITIALIZING INTERFACE” with WW3 logo and returns to the main menu.
It’s impossible to play.

In addition to not being able to access any matches, the issue also prevents affected players from accessing the different sections and menus of the game.

@ww3thegame Stuck on initializing interface. I know you guys are working on it but it’s kind of a bummer. I can’t even go into the menu, edit loadouts, etc.

Some players report being unable to access World War 3 for several days due to the ‘Fetching data’ error message.

Getting annoyed with recieving bot replies! Can someone give me an estimate on how long it will take to fix the fetching data bug?! I haven’t been able to play in 3 days…

However, recently, The Farm 51 team (the developers of World War 3) confirmed that they are aware of the issue that many players are facing.

The company states that they are working on a fix that will return things to normal. But they do not offer information on an estimated arrival date for it.

So, players can only hope that The Farm 51 does not take long to develop the fix. After all, the issue has been around for several days for some.
