The popular online MMORPG, World of Warcraft, is reportedly experiencing issues with the enhanced character boost. According to the reports, players who have purchased the enhanced character boost cannot access renowned rewards and the ‘Word as a Worthy Ally’ feature.
World of Warcraft Enhanced Character Boost Issue
The Enhanced Boost is a feature in World of Warcraft that allows players to boost a character to level 58 or 110. They also receive additional benefits. This Enhanced Boost is part of the pre-order bonus for the World of Warcraft: The War Within expansion, which was announced on November 4, 2023.
However, as per player reports, players are encountering problems with the Word of a Worthy Ally buff not applying to their alts after using the boost.
Word of a Worthy Ally is a buff in World of Warcraft that enables a player’s character to gain renown faster with at least one major faction. An ally of the player vouches for them, increasing the reputation gained with that faction by 30%. This buff is account-wide, applying to all characters on the player’s account.
Renown is a progression system in World of Warcraft that measures and advances a player’s standing with their chosen Covenant. Despite having enough renown, the boosted characters, as the reports suggest, cannot access these rewards.
Official Acknowledgement
World of Warcraft recently released its latest 10.2 update, and many players had hoped it would resolve the issue. However, according to some reports, even after the update, the issue persists.
On the positive side, the issue has not been overlooked by the developers. In response to a player’s report, the official support team has acknowledged the issue and is currently investigating it.
There is no official release date for the fix, but it seems the issue will be resolved in the near future by the developers.
