Lockwood & Co. is a supernatural detective action series based on Jonathan Stroud’s novels about a small agency of paranormal detectives who face dangerous spirits.

This teen-run agency employs three gifted hunters who work outside of the bureaucracy that holds back their competitors.

A few weeks ago, the first season of the series aired on Netflix and easily made its way to the top of Netflix’s daily Top 10 list in multiple categories, including Netflix UK.

Thanks to its success, the series’ fans have been asking for a sequel for the past few months.

Will Netflix renew Lockwood & Co. for Season 2?

And as expected many excited fans (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10) took to social media to enquire about the status of its next sequel. Some are even discussing the same on multiple web forums until now.

They believe that Lockwood & Co. series has a lot of potential and is really fun to watch as well, so Netflix should renew it for season 2.

So far, reviews have been favorable, with Metro’s Josh Stephenson comparing this series to Doctor Who.

Netflix is a fickle beast and good shows can easily slip by the wayside in favor of safer dross – hopefully, Lockwood & Co can avoid such a fate and find an audience because those who give this British supernatural thriller a try will find a scarily good time.

Evening Standard has also awarded it four stars and described it as a ‘spooky delight’.

I thought it was fantastic but I’m sad that they haven’t announced a 2nd season yet. That would be a very Netflix thing to do but I hope they do.

So, will season 2 of Lockwood & Co. be produced or not? In reality, Netflix has not officially communicated on this matter. But fans should keep their fingers crossed because the probability of its arrival is not entirely gone.

The show’s director, Joe Cornish, has already hinted at a possible return of the second season and possibly even a third season in order to wrap up the five novels on which the show is based.

Well, there are five books. Season 1 encompasses the first two books. So we think there’s definitely two more seasons we’d love to make out of the remaining books.

However, it’s worth mentioning that Netflix will only green-light it on the basis of the show’s popular demand.

This explains why some fans of the series are urging other Netflix subscribers to keep watching it in order to bring a substantial increase in its ratings and viewership.

We do hope that Netflix considers these requests and renews Lockwood & Co for season 2.
