Wayfinder 'Early Access' crashing or not loading for many, issue acknowledged

Some Wayfinder early access players are facing crashing issues or the game is not loading for them.

Reports are pouring in about log-in difficulties and crashes, leaving some players frustrated and unable to fully experience the game.

Many players have expressed (1, 2, 3, 4) their frustration at not being able to log in to the game at all.

Despite their anticipation to explore the virtual landscapes of Wayfinder, some are finding themselves stuck at the login screen and they are unable to proceed further.

According to the support team, they’ve set player limits to ensure game stability. Hence, some players might get an error when the maximum capacity is reached.

We have implemented some player limits to ensure stability which may result in the error of “Maximum player capacity is reached, please try again later”. For those lucky enough to make it past the log-in hurdle, a new challenge arises during the tutorial.

Reports indicate that crashes are occurring during the tutorial phase. This interrupts the initial gameplay experience for some players.

I’m getting on lot more frequently but crashing at end of tutorial, haven’t gotten passed that point yet. (Source)

@playwayfinder finally got in but game crashed immediately (PS5) before it finished loading. Crashed during tutorial too. Not sure if I should keep trying or will it need a patch? (Source)

The good news is that the issues haven’t gone unnoticed. The Wayfinder support team has acknowledged the log-in and crashing problems and is actively working to address them.

While it’s unfortunate that some players are encountering difficulties, the development team’s swift response is a promising sign that a solution is on the horizon.
