The newly released Warhammer 40K-inspired CRPG, The Rogue Trader, reportedly has an absurd bug that is turning the facial structure of one of the characters, Cassia, into a ‘mutated’ mess. The recent patch shed some light of hope on the issue.

Cassia Orsellio is a Navigator and one of the companions in the Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader game. She is the only playable Navigator in the game and has unique abilities and talents that set her apart from the rest of the crew.
Cassia’s Navigator bloodline elevates her above ordinary mortals, and her formidable powers enable her not only to pierce the warp with her gaze but also to scorch human souls.
Unfortunately, many players are accusing the Orsellio bloodline of ‘inbreeding’ as an absurd bug that is making Cassia’s face look like the Holy Roman Emperor, Charles V. Some are even tagging it as ‘mutation’. There is some speculations that say equipping certain weapons result in this bug.

The bug is making the facial structure of the model have an elongated jaw and popping-out eyes. At first, many thought it to be a sick effect of the warp, but fortunately, Cassia’s destiny is not that grim.
With the reports piling in, the devs soon became aware of the issue. And just like the God Emperor’s blessing, the devs soon bestowed a ray of hope, a new patch for the poor Cassia.
Patch 1.0.1 for the rescue
In the Grim Darkness of the 40K universe, finding a happy ending is as rare as a T’au player using melee combat. But Cassia got to be one of those rare souls.
In the latest Patch 1.0.1, the devs shared that the facial bug of Cassia is ‘fixed’, alongside many other bugs and performance-related issues.
Although following the patch, there have been significantly fewer reports about the bug, whether the issue is completely solved is still to be seen.
