The latest hot topic for the fans of the Grim Dark universe of Warhammer 40k is the newly released CRPG, Warhammer 40k Rogue Trader. While the game is being praised for its innovative gameplay, it is also criticized for its many issues and bugs. Warhammer 40k Rogue Trader players are most frustrated due to the ‘Aeldari in Distress’ mission bug.

Warhammer 40k Rogue trader mission Aeldari in Distress bugged

“Aeldari in Distress” is a companion quest in Warhammer 40k: Rogue Trader, featuring Yrliet, a sniper character who can be recruited from the Janus planet.

The quest is activated as soon as Yrliet officially joins the party and you’re done with the Janus planet. To complete the “Aeldari in Distress” quest, follow these steps:

  • Visit three star systems: Players need to visit three-star systems to help the Aeldari survivors.
  • Explore the Tenebris Aquea system: One of the objectives in the quest is to explore the Tenebris Aquea system, where the Aeldari are in distress.

However, multiple reports are claiming that many aspects of the game are not working or are being bugged out.

Rogue trader Aeldari in Distress report

According to the reports, either the Aeldaris are not being glitched out, or some other character refuses to spawn during the mission, making it practically impossible to complete. There are also claims that say the mission,

For some reason, it doesn’t even start. The players are claiming that even if the mission starts, for some reason, it doesn’t track the player’s progression.

How to fix the issue?

Unfortunately, according to the players, even after the latest patch, the issue is still present in the game, and there is no further statement from the devs yet.

However, the players soon took things into their own hands and shared their own solutions for the issue.

According to one player, if the mission starts and tracks the player’s progression, killing the clerk NPC that spawns during the mission is a must.

This particular NPC sometimes doesn’t spawn on its spot, making it impossible for the players to complete the mission. That is why killing them first is currently the only way to complete the mission.
