Warhammer 40,000: Darktide 'Backend Error' after 1.1.11 patch reported by many, issue acknowledged

Developed and published by Fatshark, Warhammer 40,000: Darktide is a first-person action video game set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe. It is available on Xbox and Windows.

In this game, four players work together to fight periodic waves of AI-controlled enemies. Unlike having fixed characters, you can choose and change your own class, look, and gender in the game.

There are four classes you can play as which includes Veteran, Zealot, Ogryn, and Psyker. And the special thing is that all classes have a shield that can heal itself over time.

Having said that, Warhammer 40,000: Darktide has recently received 1.1.11 Hotfix update that brings multiple bug fixes to the game. Ironically, it introduced a new bug which is troubling a section of gamers.

As per reports (1, 2, 3, 4, 5), Warhammer 40,000: Darktide players are getting ‘Backend Error’ after installing 1.1.11 patch. Here are some reports for reference:

Been having the same Backend Error issue for the past 3 hours as well. I’ve also tried restarting, verifying cache, changing DNS to google dns, restarting router, and reinstalling. Had no luck. (Source)

As a result, gamers are unable to access Warhammer 40,000: Darktide as they can’t sign in or login to the game. Generic workarounds like restarting or re-installing the game aren’t helping those affected.

Also, we haven’t come across any potential workaround that might help you fix this glitch. Hence, you’ll have to wait until devs fix it permanently.

Thankfully, the support team has acknowledged this issue and they are currently investigating it. However, they did not provide any ETA for the fix.
