According to Strait Research, Vivo holds fifth place in the Top 10 Smartphone companies in 2020, following, Industry giants like Samsung, Apple, Huawei, and OPPO.

To sell almost as many devices as companies like Xiaomi, Vivo really has to be doing something right. Of course, their devices are impressive and their prices, affordably compared to other phone makers but where the company does shine is with new smartphone innovations.

The company is improving steadily on the frequency of pushing out regular updates to its devices, an area where other Chinese OEMs like Realme, Xiaomi, and to some extent, OPPO, are also excelling. These updates are often monthly security patches for Android and many of those are packed with bug fixes and system enhancements.

But that is not all. Vivo is also actively rolling out Funtouch OS 10, its in-house Android 10-based skin on top of Android, to eligible devices.

Not too long ago, we saw the Vivo X30 Pro get an a Funtouch OS 10 Beta update, more on that here. Today, Vivo extending the same Funtouch OS 10 Beta treatment to the standard Vivo X30.

This Funtouch OS 10 Beta build brings a bunch of new changes to this device including many of the Android 10 features and the company’s digital assistant, Jovi among other changes.

To recall, this update was supposed to hit Vivo X30 units much sooner. In March, we got word that this update would be delayed due to lack of Driver support. Luckily, in mid-June, we saw the company recruiting testers for this Beta build of Funtouch OS 10 , and now, the first builds are rolling out.

Now, it is only a matter of time before the update is ready to ship out to all Vivo X30 users, but that will only happen once Vivo wraps up this beta testing program which is starting today.
