Assassin's Creed: Valhalla 'Anderitum Hideout Raven Mastery challenge' bug where 'guard doesn't have key to steal' acknowledged

Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla is one of the most successful titles in the history of the Assassin’s Creed series, generating over $1 billion in revenue in a span of just two years.

Thanks to the developers constantly dishing out new content in the form of cosmetics and events along with several expansion packs, the game still feels fresh.

But in the last few weeks, issues such as the game flickering and crashing on Xbox and Reda giving only contract have troubled many.

That said, many Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla players are now reporting that the guard is missing the key to be stolen when trying to complete the Anderitum Hideout Raven Mastery challenge (1,2,3,4,5).

It looks like the bug is preventing many from getting 100% completion. Many say they were able to complete the challenge in previous versions of the game, indicating that the bug might have surfaced in a recent update.

Some have already tried verifying files and reinstalling the game but these solutions do not seem to help fix the problem.

Here are some reports from Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla players who are unable to complete the Anderitum Hideout Raven Mastery challenge because of the missing key.

In PS4 Version of the game, playing on PS5, the Guard who has the key to unlock cell with prisoner no longer has the key, resulting in the challenge being impossible to complete. He had it for the first few attempts, then after I almost got the prisoner out I was spotted and I restarted. From that point on, the guard no longer had the key. Which results with me not being able to complete this challenge or the corresponding quest line.

Hi. I was trying to complete de raven master challange in Anderitum’s Hidding and the key to save the prisioner only appear to me in the first try. When i try it another time the key don’t even appear to get it. Now when i go to the guard with the supposed key the option to steal it don’t show. Try to restart the game, to complete another raven master challange but still the same. ¿Is there someone more with the same problem? ¿It’s possible bug? Thanks.

Thankfully, a Ubisoft Support staff commented on the matter and said Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla developers are currently investigating the issue where the guard is missing the key when trying to complete the Anderitum Hideout Raven Mastery challenge.
