Original story (published on December 03, 2021) follows:

Sonos is undoubtedly one of the best options if you want to set up audio throughout your home. The premium high-quality speakers support almost every service you can think of, be it Spotify, Apple Music, Pandora, Tidal or Audible.

The multi-room audio manufacturer was founded in 2002 and is compatible with all major voice assistants, namely, Google Assistant, Siri, or Alexa. In 2020, the company generated a revenue of around $1,321 million.

But like all services out there, Sonos is no exception and has had a few hiccups on the software side of things. Recently, users reported that they were unable to browse music on Plex.

Now, Sonos users are reporting that they are unable to add their existing Apple Music subscription to Sonos on the Android app. People say whenever they try to link Apple Music to Sonos, all they see is a white screen instead of the Apple login screen.

Users say they already tried reinstalling the app, reauthorizing their Apple account, resetting Sonos device but nothing helps. It is really weird since the Apple Music app on Android is working just fine.

When I try to add apple music to sonos, I get a blank screen. I went through all steps on the support page and nothing worked. I also have the latest sonos app and software installed. This is clearly a problem with the android app. How can I add apple music to my sonos system?

I simply can’t get Apple Music connected to my Sonos system. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled Sonos as others have suggested. I deleted Apple Music from my account to try and re-add the service. I get the same problem every time. I select “ already have account”, it opens the Apple Music landing page to connect, I select connect, and it just hangs forever. It did this when I tried to reauthorize, and now it’s doing the same to reconnect it. super frustrating. This is my primary listening mode with Sonos. Other suggestions to fix?

Unsurprisingly, the issue has left many Sonos users angry and frustrated. Some have allegedly contacted Sonos support who said that it is Apple’s fault and there is nothing they can do at the moment.

As it turns out, Sonos is aware of the issue where users are unable to add Apple Music to Sonos on the Android app. Sonos staff said that the bug is currently under investigation but did not share any ETA on when it will be fixed.

Hi @casaper Welcome to the Sonos Community!
We are aware of this new issue of being unable to add Apple Music to Sonos via an Android device and we are currently investigating it, though we have no estimate for when this will be resolved.
Unfortunately, the only workaround we know of is to use an iOS device to add Apple Music – no help to you, I know. I will update this topic thread once we have fixed the issue.

The only way to add Apple Music to Sonos is to use an iOS device. Those who do not have access to an iOS device will have to wait for Sonos and Apple to resolve the issue.

With that being said, we will keep an eye out on the matter and update this article with new information if and when required.

Update 01 (December 03)

Well now, one of the affected users has a workaround that reportedly resolved the glitch at least for them. According to said user, removing Apple Music on the Android app and reconnecting using an iOS device seems to fix this.
