New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…

Original story (published on August 02, 2021) follows:

The latest installment in the world of Assassin’s Creed is Valhalla. Released in 2020, it’s an action role-playing video game that was published by Ubisoft.

Set between the years 872-878 AD, it dives into a fictional story that takes place when the Vikings are expanding in the British Isles.

While AC Valhalla was received positively by players and critiques alike, the game has been infested with various bugs and issues ever since its release.

The latest bug that’s making players go bonkers is the Egghead challenge issue.

If you are unfamiliar with the event, the Egghead Community Challenge rewards players with the Einherjar Bow if they kill a certain amount of enemies with headshots.

Ever since the start of the challenge, players have been complaining that they are unable to complete the challenge and claim the reward even if they headshot enough enemies. Players also say their headshots are not being counted in the Community challenge.

@UbisoftSupport Hi guys what is wrong with this picture. I have completed my goal of headshots over the last day and a half and my contribution shows 0 so, that means I don’t get the bow. There are gamers on Reddit complaining about the same problem so it ant just me.(Source)

Its been almost two days since the update and the egghead community challenge Is still bugged. C’mon Ubisoft, If you are not capable of doing these type of events just don’t do them anymore.

Since it is a time-limited challenge, players have been asking Ubisoft to fix the Egghead Challenge bug as soon as possible.

Fortunately, Ubisoft has acknowledged the bug and said that they are working on a fix. However, the company did not share any ETA.

In case the company is unable to fix the bug before the challenge expires, we think it would be fair to compensate all players with the Einherjar Bow.

Update 1 (August 06)

IST 06:45 pm: The Egghead Community Challenge has been removed from Assassin’s Creed Valhalla because of the issue where headshots were not getting counted towards the Einherjar Bow. The bow will be back in the future once the problems get fixed.

We are temporarily removing the Egghead Community Challenge following issues with some players not having their contributions tracked or rewards granted.

The Einherjar bow will return to Ubisoft Connect as a reward in the future after the problems are resolved for all players.
