Original story (published on November 14, 2022) follows:

Twitter is undergoing several changes ever since it was acquired by Elon Musk. However, the new tweaks have not been very well received by some users so far.

Some of the notable changes include a major layoff in the workforce at Twitter and an increase in the Twitter Blue subscription price.

On the top of that, many recently reported bugs such as inability to change their user or display name, Twitter Blue being unavailable even in supported regions, and posts with ‘Status’ disappearing to name a few.

And as if the ongoing issues with Twitter weren’t enough, many users are now reporting yet another problem regarding image and video quality on the platform.

Twitter ruining image & video quality after uploading

According to multiple reports (1, 2, 3) doing rounds, the quality of images and videos isn’t satisfactory for many. Users say that Twitter is ruining the image and video quality after they are uploaded on the platform.

Those affected noted that the quality of images and videos before uploading is much better than what they see after uploading them.

And since it’s going to be paid, hopefully, we’ll see an upgrade in the video quality. Furthermore, Elon Musk also said that Twitter Blue can support 42 minutes video at 1080p resolution.
