The recent takeover of Twitter by Elon Musk has turned into a soap opera as every day there is a new breaking news story related to it.

Things haven’t been going smoothly at Twitter HQ. Users have been complaining about various issues ranging from Twitter Blue subscription and the new whole Twitter 2.0 chaos.

Twitter unfollowing people

Adding to the list is a new issue where some Twitter users claim that it has randomly started unfollowing people they had followed (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8).

Twitter has been acting strangely recently. Several individuals are complaining about losing hundreds of followers for no apparent reason.

Some of them were taken aback when they saw that they were no longer following someone they had previously followed. However, they did not unfollow that person on their own.

Expectedly, they are confused since they originally believed they had been unfollowed or the person had been banned, but this was not the case.

@elonmusk Why don’t you address this widely known issue reported by so many user accounts. Or are you afraid to admit your platform is manipulating follows and unfollows without users consent??? Your silence says a lot.

Now they must re-follow all of the accounts that were unfollowed, which is quite inconvenient for those affected.

Right now, there doesn’t seem to be a clear reason behind this issue, as Twitter hasn’t released a statement regarding it.

Until then, we will keep an eye out on the problem and update this space as and when we come across more information so make sure you stay tuned to PiunikaWeb.
