There are a bunch of tweets about the Twitter login error which further indicates that the issue might be widespread.

It must be noted that Twitter recently experienced an outage which was acknowledged but has not been fixed as of now.

Users started getting the login error following the outage which is preventing them from using the microblogging service.

Also, the said outage is listed as active on popular outage detection platform, Dowdetector.com.

As per reports, users are getting the “Something went wrong. Try again.” message on the website whereas the app is giving the “Tweets aren’t loading right now.” message.

Apart from that, users are also getting the “Failed to load tweet”, “Service Unavailable”, and “Upstream connect” errors.

While the Twitter outage has been acknowledged, the actual cause of the problem has not been mentioned.

Moreover, it is unclear how long will it take to address the issue as no ETA has been provided with acknowledgement.

Nevertheless, it is still good to see that Twitter has acknowledged the issue and is working to resolve it.

Hopefully, the outage gets addressed soon as it is causing inconvenience to a lot of users who are unable to use Twitter.

That said, we will keep tracking this for further development and will provide more details once new information becomes available.

Update 1 (April 17, 2021)

11:00 am (IST): While Twitter support hasn’t given any further update on the matter, if you are facing login issues on Twitter or Tweetdeck, try to uninstall and reinstall at least the app once, as a basic troubleshooting step. It may help.

Update 2 (April 17, 2021)

05:30 pm (IST): Well, the “Something went wrong, but don’t fret — it’s not your fault. Let’s try again” login error is back again and troubling many (including us). While the Web client is throwing the error, the app is not showing up any search results. For now, the wait is all you can do.

Update 3 (April 27, 2023)

03:08 pm (IST): Some Twitter users are now reporting (1, 2, 3) an issue where they are automatically getting kicked out of their account and then cannot easily log back in.
