This news comes as a relief to those who were worried about the future of TweetDeck after Twitter discontinued support for third-party apps like Tweetcaster and Tweetbot.

We have just launched a new, improved version of TweetDeck. All users can continue to access their saved searches & workflows via https://tweetdeck.twitter.com by selecting “Try the new TweetDeck” in the bottom left menu.

The Twitter team also offered additional info, highlighting some changes. The aspect that will cause controversy is the requirement of Twitter Blue/Verified (it will be free to try for 30 days from now).

– All your saved searches, lists, and columns will carry over to the new TweetDeck. You’ll be prompted to import your columns when you load the application for the first time.

– TweetDeck now supports full composer functionality, Spaces, video docking, polls, and more.

– Teams functionality in TweetDeck is temporarily unavailable and will be restored in the coming weeks.

– In 30 days, users must be Verified to access TweetDeck.

02:03 pm (IST): Some users did not like some new features of TweetDeck. Moreover, they think (1, 2, 3, 4) that it is becoming money grabbing scheme for Elon Musk as most of its features are locked behind paywall.

01:56 pm (IST): Tweetdeck has been rebranded to XPro and users will have to pay for Blue subscription in order to keep using XPro.

However, if they wish to opt-out of preview can do so by clicking on Leave TweetDeck Preview on browser.

04:02 pm (IST): Following the latest update, to access XPro (formerly known as TweetDeck), user will need to have a Twitter Blue subscription as mentioned in a report.
