Twitter Blue is the first subscription service of the popular micro-blogging social network. It provides a set of new features that seek to improve or enhance the user experience.

As an example of the above, the subscription includes the function to ‘Undo’ tweets before posting. However, as we recently covered here, both how it works and that it’s a paid option hasn’t convinced everyone.

Another of the features that the service brings is for those who like cryptos and NFTs. Twitter Blue allows you to link the wallet where your NFTs are stored to use them as a special profile picture.

Having said the above, many Twitter Blue users report that they are unable to link their Ledger or Trezor crypto wallet. So, they can’t set their NFTs as profile picture (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10).

According to multiple reports, many users experience difficulties setting their NFTs as profile picture, as they can’t connect their Ledger or Trezor crypto wallet to Twitter Blue (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8).

Compatibility: Ledger and Trezor declare on the issue

It should be noted that the reports reached the ears of both Ledger and Trezor teams. In the case of Trezor, the issue is due to their current products not being compatible with the Twitter Blue NFT link feature.

On the other hand, Trezor confirms that their wallets should be compatible. So, in this case, account linking problems become more annoying.

Workarounds for both wallets (Ledger and Trezor)

Having said the above, if you are suffering from the Twitter Blue linking issue on the Ledger or Trezor crypto wallet, there are some workarounds that reportedly help to solve it.

First, in the case of Trezor crypto wallets, you can try the following:

Select MetaMask from the Twitter app. It will switch over to MetaMask browser. Don’t sign, instead copy the URL. Send to desktop and paste into browser. Sign with Trezor. After signing, it launches another tab. Copy new URL back to mobile MetaMask.

‘The page that doesn’t exist’ – that’s the URL to copy back and paste into MetaMask mobile, right where you left off. I had to try the process 4 or 5 times before it worked, but that’s how I did it.

On the other hand, if your crypto wallet is a Ledger, there are a couple of workarounds you can try. The first one is to do the following:

Twitter only recognized my new Blue membership on my phone and not on my pc.. you edit profile on your phone, click on profile pic, copy/past the QR code into notes then paste the long code into ledger live to prove NFT ownership. Hope that helps.. but Twitter made this tricky.
