Titanfall 2 is an interesting FPS that seeks to stand out from the rest due to its theme based on mecha (giant robots). The game has been on the market for several years now (was launched in 2016).

To this day, the game still maintains a relatively strong community of players. However, it is currently facing some issues that seriously affect its online competitive side.

According to multiple reports, Titanfall 2’s servers are suffering from DDOS attacks, which make its online mode completely unplayable (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8).

Alleged DDOS attack on Titanfall 2 brings down its multiplayer servers

Titanfall 2 player reports indicate that the alleged DDOS attack on the game’s servers prevents its multiplayer mode from being enjoyed, which is one of its main attractions (1, 2, 3, 4).

The DDOS attack on Titanfall 2 results in players being unable to access online matches. On the other hand, those who can access to matches will suffer from huge ping.

@Respawn
please address the DDos attacks plaguing titanfall 2, not being able to join or getting into a game then having 5k ping is saddening.

An issue that had happened before

It seems that these types of problems are not exactly new to the game. According to reports, the DDOS attacks on Titanfall 2 have been going on for months, but they had stopped. Now, these happen again (1, 2, 3).

Are The TF2 DDoS Issues Still A Problem?

I haven’t been active in the Titanfall community in quite a while and I was wondering if the DDoS’ing issues were still happening like they were a few months ago? Just Figured I’d ask before reinstalling.

At the moment, there appears to be no official response from Respawn Entertainment (the game developers) regarding these issues. Therefore, it is not known if the situation will be resolved soon.

In fact, some players report that the previous attacks lasted days, or even weeks, and fear that the same case will now happen again with the new ‘DDOS wave’.
