we pc gamers would really love it if yall would let us play with our next gen console friends. if you are worried about these cheaters how about you make it an option to turn off crossplay! some of us built our teams off of crossplay & now the game is’nt fun (Source)

The Texas Chain Saw Massacre is an online co-op-based survival horror game heavily reliant on its multiplayer aspects.

Released on multiple platforms, crossplay is crucial for The Texas Chain Saw Massacre. It allows players to join matches and play together regardless of their platform.

The majority of the game’s player base is on PC, and the removal of crossplay has left them feeling isolated. Apparently, the decision to remove crossplay was driven by the high number of cheaters among PC users.

However, rather than solving the issue, it has upset innocent PC players (1, 2, 3, 4, 5) who can no longer connect with their friends.

Many players have stopped playing the game (1, 2) since the change, with the Steam version alone losing over 3,000 active players.

Love the game a lot but haven’t played since the removal of crossplay and sadly will not be playing again till it’s added back.(Source)

While players are demanding the return of the feature, some are even suggesting (1, 2, 3) the addition of crossplay between old-gen and new-gen consoles.

With this acknowledgment, it appears that a fix for the issue will be implemented soon. But there’s no known ETA.

We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates when there are any further developments.
