New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published on September 8, 2023) follows:

In the chilling world of The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, players have recently encountered two game-breaking issues and the first one revolves around the Hitchhiker’s sinister trap ability.

The Texas Chain Saw Massacre Hitchhiker’s trap bug

The Hitchhiker, a character notorious for his sinister ingenuity, has the ability to create traps constructed from ribs and wire. This dark craftsmanship allows players to strategically place traps throughout the game.

However, a bug in the game is triggered when the Hitchhiker places one of his traps on a ladder (1,2,3,4,5).

Players found themselves unable to pass through crawlspaces, walls, or vault over objects. In fact, this happened for for the rest of the game.

Unfortunately, this issue has persisted for an extended period, leaving players frustrated and seeking a resolution.

The Hitchhiker’s trap, which was intended as a clever tool for strategic gameplay, has become a source of grief and consternation.

When hitchhiker puts his trap anywhere where you’re still performing an animation (like top of ladder), it breaks your game the rest of the match and you can’t perform an actions. Actions being crawlspaces, cracks in walls, and the vault barriers.

Trapping a victim with Hitchhikers trap at the top of a ladder will render the victim unable to use passageways, crawlspaces etc.

We have fortunately found a workaround that requires you to go back down the ladder you initially came up:

the trick to fixing the bug is to go back down the ladder you initially came up, that fixes things and you’ll be able to go through cracks and crawl spaces again.

‘Sissy’s poison’ allegedly broken or OP

Another looming specter in the game is Sissy’s formidable ‘Bane’ ability, often referred to as ‘Sissy’s poison’ (1,2,3,4,5).

This poisonous attack leaves players in a state of disorientation, rendering them incapable of fleeing from Sissy.

The community’s outcry has been loud and clear as they believe ‘Sissy’s poison’ is overly powerful and that the developers must intervene to rectify the imbalance it introduces.

The poison cloud not only cripples victims, but it also tips the scales in favor of those wielding it.

When are they going to fix Sissy? You can’t run from her when she hits you, it’s too unfair.

Sissy honestly shouldn’t be able to poison with a basic attack.

Issues acknowledged

Thankfully, both of these game-breaking issues have not fallen on deaf ears. The developer team has officially acknowledged the existence of these bugs:
