[Updated] The Elder Scrolls Online long loading times & login issues after update 33 under investigation

The Elder Scrolls Online is an MMO set in the universe of the iconic The Elder Scrolls saga. The game has been available since 2014 constantly receiving new content.

However, currently many players are facing long loading times and login issues after the most recent Elder Scrolls Online update 33 (Patch v7.3.5) that arrived a few days ago.

One of The Elder Scrolls Online update 33 issues is an excessively long waiting time on the loading screen. Many players are getting stuck on this initial loading screen without being able to do anything about it.

Where is everyone? (PC/NA)

Some zones seem empty, or are there people there and I am just missing them? Starting to feel like I am alone on the game sometimes… this goes for almost all zones, zone chat is somtimes too quiet, am I missing something here?

Edit: yup server issues with loading screens, I wasn’t effected (yet) so that explains a lot

In many cases players never access The Elder Scrolls Online world as they quit after many minutes of waiting (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14).

infinite loading screens since update 33

I’ve barely been able to do a thing since the update. Infinite loading screens. Just tried loading into a battleground, it failed and tried to load me back into the zone, that lasted five minutes until I quit. Anyone else having similar issues?

Furthermore, other players are also facing login issues. In this case, players who try to log in with their credentials receive an ‘unable to connect to game server’ error message (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9).

I recently bought the game and when i try to login to a character it tells me i dont have a valid internet connection and when i do login when i try to travel zones i get kicked out and its been 3 days and i cannot play pls help i play on ps4

@TESOnline every time I tried to travel or to log ing the game I get (unable to connect to game server )all the time do something I’m playing on ps4 ..I bought this game to play it

The combination of both issues mean that the few players who can access The Elder Scrolls Online only find an almost empty world.

However, the Bethesda team is already aware of both login issues and long loading times. The company is investigating the matter, but there is no ETA for a fix yet.

01:59 pm (IST): Elder Scrolls Online support on Twitter has confirmed that PC EU is also facing similar issues after update 33. Moreover, the support is currently investigating them.
