New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published on August 18, 2023) follows:

The Elder Scrolls Online (ESO) has captivated players around the world with its immersive open-world experience and rich storytelling.

However, like many online games, ESO is not immune to technical issues that can disrupt players’ gaming experiences.

Recently, a widespread problem has emerged, preventing players from logging in and loading into the game (1,2,3,4,5).

While the problem initially seemed to be concentrated on the NA servers, reports have also emerged from players on EU servers.

Players say that they get an ‘unexpected internal error’ message every time they try to access the game. While others say that they were actually kicked out of the game and are unable to log back in.

This issue has been a frustrating one as it stops players from progressing in the game.

I am having issues logging into the Windows Client. Also can not access the Website.

Issue acknowledged

Fortunately, Bethesda Support has acknowledged this issue and said that they are investigating it. However, there is no ETA for a fix yet.

As developers work to rectify the issues and restore seamless gameplay, players stand united, eager to immerse themselves once again in the rich tapestry of The Elder Scrolls Online.

That said, we will keep an eye on the issue with ESO servers going down or not loading and update the story with the latest information.

Update 1 (August 18, 2023)

05:06 pm (IST): Although reports related to the outage seem to have eased slightly, it seems that the ESO servers are still down right now (1, 2, 3).

Update 2 (August 19, 2023)

10:35 am (IST): Bethesda support claims that the login issues have been fixed.

Update 3 (August 21, 2023)

05:02 pm (IST): According to an Australia gamer, the game’s servers in their region are down every Monday night for six hours.

Seriously Guys you really treat Australian players like crap. Monday evening 6pm without fail ESO is down for a maintenance patch, don’t worry only the six hours.

In addition, one of our readers reports that outages occur in their region as well, at least a few times every month. Therefore, it appears that ESO players frequently experience server disruptions.

That would happen a couple times a month for me, connection drop then the cursed servers would say I was already logged in.
