Original story (published on December 20, 2021) follows:

The Elder Scrolls Online (also known as ESO) is a successful MMO based on the iconic saga. The game has been available since 2014 and still maintains a strong active player base to this day.

Lately, many players of The Elder Scrolls Online have been reporting some issues that seriously affect its performance under certain conditions, making it virtually unplayable.

More specifically, The Elder Scrolls Online is crashing or gets stuck on blue screen when players try to do PvP in Cyrodiil (1, 2, 3, 4).

The Elder Scrolls Online stuck on blue screen issue in Cyrodiil PvP

According to the reports, the performance problems have started from the last game maintenance. Since then, it has been almost impossible to play PvP on Cyrodiil.

Its seems that the new maintenance for console last night has introduced an extremely serious crash in pvp. Whenever I am at a keep or outpost and attacking the objective, anytime the wall crumbling animation or door breach animation plays it seems I insta DC to the Xbox home screen. It happened to me 7 times in under 45 minutes this morning, and I wasnt the only player in zone having this issue either.

The main reported issue is that a blue screen constantly appears in The Elder Scrolls Online, causing the game to get stuck. Also, the issue affects all platforms including consoles.

PvP is Currently Unplayable Across all Platforms

I’m sure most of you have heard by now but this last update seemed to make PvP unplayable. Myself and others have been running into bluescreens all night. I’m up to 5 bluescreens in just one hour. We tried to siege a keep, instant blue screen. We try to fight at a outpost, bluescreen. My last bluescreen, I was just standing in a field. A few of my guildmates have also had bluescreens tonight in Battlegrounds.
