The Cycle: Frontier 'Matchmaking error' troubles many (potential workaround inside)

Developed and published by Yager development, The Cycle: Frontier is a unique first-person shooting game that was in early access since August 2019 and was released yesterday.

The developers termed it as a competitive PvEvP quest shooter. It is set on a fictional space station where players take on the role of contractors who have to finish dangerous missions on a planet called Fortuna III.

With each round lasting 20 minutes, the player who escapes the planet with the maximum amount of points is declared the winner.

But soon after its release, it looks like some are facing an issue that is preventing them from playing the game.

According to recent reports from The Cycle: Frontier players, many are getting a matchmaking error (1,2,3,4,5).

Some have tried common troubleshooting solutions such as restarting the game, verifying game files via Steam, and restarting their PC but nothing seems to help with the problem.

Matchmaking error i was playing with my brother and he cant deploy to the world. solo or with group. is there a way to fix this we have reset the game, validated game, and reset pc. we even tried to to the tutorial again to try and fix. we are on the same internet so i dont think it would be our internet if i can play just fine

Can anyone actually play? The game looks amazing and I can’t wait to play it but me and my girl can’t even get into a game. Matchmaking error and she doesn’t show up on my friends list but I show up on hers? Lol. I’m guessing it’s just day 1 server shit and it’s a f2p game so it’s not like I have anything to be upset about, but I’m curious if you guys have been able to play without any hiccups. Unfortunately, The Cycle: Frontier developers are yet to comment on the problem. That said, we came across some potential workarounds that might help fix the issue.

The first one requires the player to walk away from the deploy terminal and open their inventory or quick shop.

I found that if you walk away from the deploy terminal and open quick shop or inventory it goes away! Hope this helps!

Some say spamming the space bar button in matchmaking did the trick for them, so you might as well try that.

We hope the developers soon find out the reason why so many players are getting the matchmaking error and fix it at the earliest.
