Ubisoft’s The Crew Motorfest is allegedly having issues conducting online co-op matches, as reports from players claim that they are unable to join games with friends. The issue has been affecting the players for a while, but the devs are still silent about it. But worry not, at the bottom, we have shared some potential workarounds.

The Crew Motorfest online co-op issue

The Crew Motorfest is a racing video game developed by Ubisoft Ivory Tower and published by Ubisoft for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. It is the sequel to 2018’s The Crew 2 and the third game in The Crew series.

The game is set on the Hawaiian island of O’ahu and features over 600 vehicles, including cars, boats, planes, and bikes.

In The Crew Motorfest, players can play online co-op with up to four players across the main campaign, including free-roam and playlist events. To play co-op with friends, they need to invite them to their crew and navigate to the race or activity they want to participate in.

Unfortunately, reports claim that players are not able to call, invite, or join with their friends. Allegedly, the issue has been around for a while, but no resolution has been offered by the devs so far.

The game supports cross-platform play, allowing players to matchmake in some multiplayer modes regardless of the platform other players are on. However, the reports claim the issue is present on every platform.

How to fix the issue?

While the devs are still silent regarding the issue, players are getting more and more on edge about the issue being extremely severe and affecting their experience with the game.

So, having some potential solutions to the issue, here are some methods that you can try:

  • Restart the game: Quit “The Crew Motorfest” and restart it to see if that solves the problem.
  • Check firewall and antivirus settings: Ensure that “The Crew Motorfest” is allowed through your firewall and isn’t being blocked by your antivirus software.
  • Update the game: Make sure your game is up-to-date.
  • Check for server issues: Visit the official The Crew Motorfest website, forums, or social media channels to see if the game servers are experiencing any known issues or maintenance.
  • Ensure cross-platform compatibility: The Crew Motorfest supports cross-platform multiplayer, but not in every game mode. Check which game modes support cross-platform play.
  • Invite friends to your crew: Make sure your friends are added to your in-game Friends List and that you have invited them to join your crew.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, consider reaching out to Ubisoft support for further assistance.
