The Tesla Model S is one of the fastest production cars on Earth. With a whopping 396 mile range, the car can go from zero to 60 mph in just under 2 seconds.

As if that wasn’t enough, we want to remind you that the Model S is a 4 seater that offers a large rear cargo space along with a front trunk.

Tesla Model S is a true feat of engineering and practicality combined in one package. Moreover, it is backed by Tesla’s feature-rich software.

Having said that, Tesla car owners do face some hiccups every now and then. Recently, some reported that they are unable to use the Park Assist feature.

Now, Model S Refresh owners are reporting another bug that involves the Homelink app.

According to affected Tesla drivers, the issue with Homelink app is that it is sending multiple signals. Users have tried reinstalling the app but nothing seems to be working right now.

This problem started happening on my 2020 MX about 4 months ago. Prior to that Homelink worked well. Took it in to the service and no fix.

Considering Homelink was working perfectly fine during the first year of ownership on my X, I’m hopeful it will be fixed. As mentioned, it’s only been an issue for me in the last few months.

Looks like there is some sort of delay when the users send a command and when it is received. The app is supposedly stacking requests and processing them all at once.

Some Model X and previous generation Model S owners have also reported the issue, which indicates that the problem is not limited to the Model S Refresh.

A Twitter user had proposed a solution that includes getting a Wi-Fi garage door opening icon. It sounds like a good solution for Tesla users.

Even Elon Musk replied to the user and said that he would soon bring the feature. But it never made it to the public.

We hope Tesla works with Homelink and fixes the issue that involves the app sending multiple signals since it can be pretty dangerous especially with children around.
