Original story (published on March 15, 2021) follows:

Clubhouse has gained a lot of popularity lately because of its audio-only chat room design.

It is known that Instagram is working on a similar feature while Twitter’s Spaces has been around for quite some time now.

Now, it seems that Telegram might also follow in the footsteps of Clubhouse and release a similar voice chat feature for its channels.

This info comes from a tweet from WABetaInfo which suggests that Telegram might have started developing its voice chat feature.

However, nothing is rock solid at the moment as there has been no official announcements on the matter so far.

Clubhouse is still awaited on Android which is might be one of the biggest reasons why platforms like Telegram are focusing on bringing their own voice chat features.

Nevertheless, Clubhouse garnered all the attention in such a short span of time despite being available only on iOS which is an achievement in itself.

There several Clubhouse counterparts for Android including InstaHelo and Houseclub, users are still inclined towards the app that started the trend.

Apps like Telegram and Signal are also popular among Android users which makes it even more believable that the former might be working on its audio-only chat feature.

Telegram has a pretty decent user base and adding a feature like voice chat will only make things better.

Hopefully, Telegram makes things official soon by announcing the arrival of the aforementioned feature.
